Chris and I had dinner tonight with a friend who lived in this area and now lives in NYC. We brought him to Caslon at Lake Ave, in Avon Lake, where we had already eaten. He was totally impressed. Charming bar with excellent beer and food. They have a TV for sports events, including World Cup soccer. The atmosphere is lively with British fans enjoying Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, cod sandwiches, and chips (fries). The restrooms are clean as well.
It has been awhile since I was last at The Caslon and still exceptional service.
A cozy spot right on Lake Road. Well prepared cocktails. A tight, bar centered menu right out of Bar Rescue. Don't go there looking for a steak house menu.
I sampled various items from the menu over three different visits, and I was greatly impressed by both the selection and the quality!
Hard to beat this spot! Fantastic value with a higher end feel but not pretentious.
