One of the best discoveries in Avon! From the food to the service, we have never felt more welcomed in a restaurant. The highlight was the incredible mixed grill, featuring lamb, chicken, and beef, along with an appetizer platter that was simply amazing. What Catalina Manea doesn't like about Istanbul Mediterranean Grill:
I am trying to understand how this place is so popular. They have no ventilation and you're getting smoked, and the food is not cooked properly. Also overly priced. If you want good food, do yourself a favor and stop for a pizza to the place next door: In Forno. Or if you want good Turkish food, go to Anatolia. But I'd skip this spot especially if you drive 40 minutes. View all feedback.
What an incredible dinner! Every dish was absolutely delicious. We started with the cold appetizer platter and then enjoyed the kebab plate featuring chicken and lamb. The kebabs had a wonderful smoky flavor, as if they had been cooked over an open wood fire. All the appetizers were fresh and tasty. This is truly one of the best Mediterranean restaurants we've come across in our travels. To top it all off, our server Enver was fantastic—he provided great suggestions and excellent service. We will definitely make it a point to return!
I wasn't able to order the dish I wanted to try because it was sold out, likely due to its popularity. This just shows how much people enjoy it! However, my alternative choice was fantastic. The menu had a wonderful selection of dishes and intriguing flavors. Definitely worth trying at least once!
