Gidget's Pizza Pasta - Avon

Ordered veggie and cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks. Order was prepared fast we did take out. Everything tasted good.

Although it takes up half of her namesake, if you go to Gidget's for pasta you will unfortunately be wildly disappointed. Things didn't start off great when I was told it would take over an hour for my chicken parm to be ready but hey it was Saturday and places get busy, I can understand. What I can't understand however, is chicken parm being nothing more than a few sad strips of GRILLED chicken (like the ones you'd throw in a salad) with a single layer of crusty melted cheese on top. Never in my entire life have I ever seen a chicken parm look so sad. I don't know if I could even call the dish chicken parm!!! It's like Gidget only heard of the concept and never actually saw it in her life. Was the sauce good at least? Sure, it was passable! And was the pasta at least cooked? Yeah (low bar I know). But that doesn't make up for the butchering of such a staple recipe. All in all if you decide to order here, stick to the pizza.

We had take-out pizza from here on our vacation and it was excellent. They were pretty slammed, and we ordered over the phone and then came to the restaurant when they told us it would be ready (almost an hour after ordering). Would definitely do take-out again- or possibly eat in but not on a Friday night!

Our group of three ravenous teenagers, my husband and I went to Gidget’s last night for the first time. The food was fantastic….three large pizzas of various toppings, and an order of the French Fries with pesto alfredo sauce. The fries was delicious, and the pizzas were loaded with cheese and toppings. We had read other reviews, and we have attempted to eat there in years past so we knew there could be a wait. We prepared for that, and while we waited, we watched the servers running all over tending to both dine-in and pick-up patrons. When our pizzas arrived, they were worth the wait. We will definitely go again.
