le Basilic - Avolsheim

On the way to Luxembourg our children were hungry and we had to find somethings quick. Italian is the best choice. Thanks to Trip Advisor we could find this place. Food: delicious!! Crispy crust pizza, the real carbonara sauce and fresh salad! We were amazed by the quick service and food cooked. They cannot really speak English but at least they tried. We came at 12 on Thursday, we were the first but quickly the place was packed. Price were good, definitely comparing to what you get. There is a beautiful terrace at the back but inside also good because of the air conditioning. If you happen to be in the neighbourhood, you should definitely stop by for a quick lunch or even a dinner.

In the middle of the small Village, we found this hidden gem. We were looking for an authentic restaurant, and Basilic is definitely one. We started our dinner with: Basilic salad with mozzarella and grilled ham, which was fresh and tasty. We also had Parma Pizza with prosciutto and rocket green. Our main courses were: An Alsatians baked macaroni with ham and melted cheese, a selection of 3 raviolis' filled with spinach, Gorgonzola cheese and escargot which was a delicious choice. For desert we ordered the Banana Split and cafe gourmet. Overall it is an excellent restaurant, good quality of food for moderate prices.

Very nice surprise in the heart of this village, very positive balance, nice decoration, homemade kitchen and copious plates. About 80€ for 4 dishes and 4 drinks.

Nous nous étions rendus au Basilic pour un repas entre amis. Nous avons été très agréablement surpris par la qualité des plats. Le service était également très rapide malgré une salle bondée. Personnel accueillant et chaleureux

Un restaurant ou l'on se sent pas bien.Avant que l'on nous ramene notre apertitif, une 2eme serveuse vient pour nous demander si l'on a deja choisi ce que l'on veut manger.Et tout le long du repas les serveuses regarde si l'on a terminé de manger.Conclusion, au lieu d'etre épié comme ca, et pressé on a choisi de prendre un desert dans un autre lieu. et qui nous a permis de terminer notre soiree dans la joie.Donc a eviter le vendredi si vous voulez passer un bon moment.
