My husband and I landed in Avignon around 9 p.m. after a full day's bus ride from Spain. Tired and hungry, we wanted something quick and easy for suppert. Not far from our rental apartment we found a small convenience store to purchase breakfast fixings and asked about a local pizza place. We were directed a couple of doors down the street to Pizza Roll. It's take-out/delivery only, with an old photo of Janis Joplin and a tour list of The Pogues gracing the walls. The pizza is made fresh with a thin crust and baked to perfection. Definitely worth the 20 minute wait and definitely a place to return to.
