Spent an hour finding this as was recommended in one of our books. Set in the old Silk Dyers' quarter, quaint with a small waterway running aside the restaurant. Small with an equally small menu, reason being they take the best things available, cook them and voila, a stunning burst of fresh, tasty food. I had the best greek salad ever to start, a wonderful white fish covered in a crust of herbs/spices, based on quinoa and grain bed for mains. Dessert was their cafe gourmand. All lunchtime and all the formula for plat de jour. Incredible, really quite reasonable for the experience and that's what it is really, an experience. Go there !!!!!!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening here with fab food and great service. Menu is small but select and delicious. We had lamb shank for main with gnocchi and it was perfect! House wine was superb too. Highly recommend.

Poor food and poor service not sure sure what else to say. The person who runs the restaurant seems grumpy and rude which would have been fine had the food been actually good but it wasn't - so overall, terrible experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at L'ubu. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The menu is very small, only a couple of dishes to choose from for entree, main course and dessert but the food was superb. The restaurant seems to pride itself on serving dishes with the freshest produce together with wines that are all organic (our wine was also excellent). After the main course I was debating whether to have the chocolate cake or cheesecake for dessert and my wife said she was too full for dessert. I chose the chocolate cake. Then the owner brought both and said the cheesecake was a present so that we could try both. A lovely touch at the end of a wonderful dinner. And to top it off the meal was very reasonably priced.

I rely on other trip advisor reviewers to find me interesting places and they came up with a winner. Lovely setting off the main drag and very good prices for Avignon, but a small menu. For me this meant one main course only, fish with quinoa and veg which was good. My husband had pasta with an excellent cheesecake. Plenty of outside tables for pooches. The only complaint I would have was uncomfortable chairs otherwise an interesting place with friendly staff.
