What Luc Paris doesn't like about In & Off:
When the waiter found out we were only going to spend about 30 euro, he told us to leave. This was mid-afternoon and there were few patrons at the cafe, so it is not like we took a table away from waiting people. We just wanted a snack and something to drink but that was not OK with this waiter. There was no "S'il vous plait" or smile, just a wave of his hand as if to say "Go sit over there." So we left. Located in the shadow of the Palais du Pape, this restaurant is one of many to choose from in the square. In the middle of the tourist season, the service was fast, but took forever to get our check. We enjoyed the Greek salads with plenty of bread. Made the mistake of not clarifying our request for tap water, instead we got a 6 Euro bottle of water. Okay place to eat but more expensive due to height of tourist season.
Lunch time and we simply could not pass this restaurant by. Sitting outside under cover from the 35 degree heat with the Palais a few metres away, the view is draw dropping. We chose salads (Cesar and melon surprise) + 1 litre of virgin cucumber mohito. While the food was not as impressive as the view, it was tasty and a good choice on such a hot day. Cost was a little over E40
We've already had breakfast and lunch here as it is so convenient. I though the menu would be very 'touristy', but it is fresh and interesting, especially the day's specials. The service is charming and helpful.
We had lunch here after visiting the Palais des Papes as it is in the square. The service was excellent and the food yummy. We really enjoyed our food: salade gourmands and the camembert with nuts. The prosecco was lovely too.We ate outside but the inside looked very nice too. My only concern would be the fact that the toilet seat was missing in the ladies!
This little cafe is situated just outside the Palace of the Popes. On a sunny day the square is filled with life and music and this is an ideal place to sit and soak up the atmosphere. The service is friendly, the prices reasonable and they do a great Ceaser Salad .. Yum
