Nice location an beautiful outdoor seating. Small indoor place, the menu changes daily. We enjoyed starters to share, after the mains unfortunately no more room for dessert. Very good food, nicely plated. Professional and friendly service. View all feedback.
What Michelle Barbier doesn't like about Hidden Corner:
the holy stone square is a very nice place to Avignon, a little away from the tumult of the place of the clock. There are several restaurants in this place, but the hidden corner didn't pack me. In spite of the patron's bagou, I was disappointed with the dishes (highly cooked meat) and the prices are far too high (10€ for 1/2 tomato with some slices of industrial moza, it is abused.) Had a diner on a Sunday. The location is very nice on a quiet place. Took risotto w/ prawns and hamburger, both were tasty and appreciated. For the desserts we went to another place recommended by the restaurant manager as my kids wanted ice creams. Service was ok and relatively quick (only 2 people for all the tables). Cash only!
We'd had a fabulous two prior nights of eating out with excellent service and first class food and thought our last night would be of like ilk. Sadly, no. The service ... the waitress was agressive and rude. Firstly, she initially only acknowledged and spoke to my husband. Then told us what was not on the menu and that the restaurant was cash only and if we were short there was a bank around the corner. In this day and age ... really? So with forgetting to bring us table water and cutlery, slamming down salt and pepper (despite noticing that we waited so long for this we'd retrieved a set from another table), delivering a burger that was overcooked and pork steak that was dry, the evening was not enjoyable.
Difficult to find during the festival a good table with an interesting quality ratio and especially a nice welcome is the case of hidden corner. a beautifully varied card with Asian touches such as duck nem or touk touk steak tartare. nice reception by the boss, the service is efficient and the plate is good. the wine map deserves more rosé wines because only one is proposed.
Staff unable to handle ,tarives exhorbitant regarding the quality to flee , do not take into account the excellent reviews , thanks the false reviews.N accepts credit cards ?to not declare everything. Unc control s impose
