Discovered by chance at the festival of avignon, a conversation with the boss when we looked at the map gave us a desire to stop there for the evening meal. The menu always offers 1 or 2 vegetarian dishes, cooked home with local products, a little in reasoned agriculture and maybe a little organic as well, even if it doesn't seem (unfortunately) an essential aspect for stephane, the boss.Stéphane kindly proposes its creations (to drink or eat) with its few spices of predilection: ginger, the clou possibility of custom arrangement of the menu if there is not too many people at the same time, which is a .donc, yes, some originalities, but overall I found the kitchen "good", without more. desserts houses rather "middle", unless you are a fan of cinnamon (which is not my case). The shining atmosphere is original without being overloaded (as is sometimes elsewhere), which is appreciable; and the very smiling and friendly service with the waitress who took care of us. a small inner courtyard allows to eat outside the summer (no terrace), but the high ceilings and ventilation of the room allow to be comfortable inside despite the summer heat. In short, a pretty good address that deserves to be tried!
A bit dubious first, we finally keep our evening at the bazou an unforgettable memory. the place is really atypical by its decor but also its atmosphere. food is simple but delicious, an explosion of flavors in the mouth. We spent a real moment of authenticity with a very friendly discussion at the end of the meal with stéphane the boss. Bazou is a whole world full of cultures from all over the world. a gustative, visual and auditory journey.
Received without reservation for the saint valentine. It was a place that had attracted my eye to his hiding place. I had the opportunity to cross the door to invite my cousin to the saint valentine (yes it's strange) and the welcome was very nice (I think it was the boss). Here we are and our chosen menus. At the arrival of the dishes it is nice visually (it sticks well with the place, stylish and without chichi) but the taste was not at the height of my expectations. I was expecting something more goutu despite it was not good either. Addiction rather salted 60€ for two with a glass of wine in addition.
Small restaurant hidden in avignon that will make you discover a high taste and finesse cuisine for cheap. the boss comes to explain his card himself and the scholarly mixes of tastes and textures he offers. a must
