What Alison Allen doesn't like about The Chippy:
Could've had a game of cricket with the battered haddock, even used it as a spanking paddle if u so wished, it was so overcooked. Maybe just a bad day, it happens. The 30% fish to 70% batter ratio was actually more disappointing tbh. The chips were tasty View all feedback. What Beth Ellis likes about The Chippy:

read moreThe Chippy offers a mixed experience for diners, with some disappointed by overcooked fish, high prices, and slow service, while others praise the fresh and tasty food, friendly staff, and quality offerings like scampi and haddock fillets. The clean and welcoming atmosphere, along with options for smaller portion sizes, make it a popular choice for families. Although some find the prices slightly higher, many agree that the quality of the food justifies the cost. Overall, The Chippy seems to be a hit or miss depending on individual experiences, with some customers enjoying a satisfying meal while others leave feeling let down.
