Only Por... read more Stumbled across this restaurant at around 1pm and decided to go there for lunch. They had a good lunch menu with a variety of 5 dishes (meat and fish). Only Portuguese people, most of them looked like they were on their lunch break. Food was great and very fast service for a great price. Very good value for money. Seemed like a place that many locals go to. Highly recommend.

The portions in most of Portugal, but particularly in the north of the country, are really huge, as well as being extremely reasonably-priced. A quiet mid-week late October evening meant not too many other customers, and although the clientele is essentially local, rather than touristic, my limited Portuguese language got through to the waiter and chef OK. Great house wine at remarkably low price. Would definitely return if in the area.

The plus is that they were willing to serve single portion for those dishes meant for 2 persons. Even the single portion was a fairly big portion. We had stewed eels. The restaurant is in the quiet part of town and patronised mainly by locals, so you can be assured of authentic Portuguese food.
