With a great view over the lake of Ria de Aveiro, and watching the colorful boats navigating the canal, 'De Lago ' restaurant was a perfect choice to have lunch... read more With a great view over the lake of Ria de Aveiro, and watching the colorful boats navigating the canal, 'De Lago ' restaurant was a perfect choice to have lunch in Melia Ria Hotel on the first day. Chestnut soup with bits of lobster was simply appetizing, needs a bit of salt though. As friendly and very helpful Ines Oliviero laid out the main dish of duck, I was quite impressed with the food presentation. The orange sauce gave the dish a flavorful twist! The finale was the savory ice cream with ovo moles very good dessert to end a top notch meal. Had another incredibly tasty food when my husband opted to have dinner on our last day at Melia Ria. Quite a wait however for the food to come this time, but greatly compensated by the very delicate and rich flavors of our main dishes. Hats off to Chef Ricardo who served us the food! Highly recommended for food enthusiasts.

Our waiter Fabio always polite and made us feel comfortable…The food was excellent and we really enjoyed each course. We had, between us, 6 separate meals and they were all great and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The total cost with a bottle of decent wine was amazingly good. Recommend you try this. Sopa de peixe,,Arroz de Tamboril and Panacotta Muito bom
