Bluewater Avalon Seafood

The food was fantastic and the location is excellent! It’s a lovely spot for lunch, especially with the beautiful views from the outdoor seating. The service was good, but a bit overwhelming; it felt like someone was checking in on us every couple of minutes. While I appreciate attentive service, it was a bit much at times. Overall, a nice experience!

Loved this place! We ordered steamed clams, oysters, fried calamari, artichoke dips, poke, broccolini, prawn cocktail, oyster shooter (beer one was bomb) and buffalo jug. Everything had so much flavor and we all enjoyed. William was a great server, very nice and friendly, made our dinner a pleasant experience!

I had the fantastic opportunity to visit Catalina Island, where we enjoyed a lovely boat ride and explored the stunning scenery of the island. For dinner, we went to Bluewater Avalon, which offered an array of seafood and fish options. I ordered chicken, while my husband chose the fisherman’s platter, and everything was delicious! We started with a jalapeño artichoke dip for our appetizer, which was outstanding. The restaurant also had a great selection of alcoholic beverages. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!

The Bluewater restaurant is outstanding! Located right by the beach and harbor, the views are simply stunning. The food was incredibly delicious; I ordered the fisherman's platter and it was exceptional. The fish was incredibly fresh, the scallops were wonderfully flavorful, and the shrimp paired perfectly with the cocktail sauce. They also serve complimentary sourdough bread with butter on the side, which was a delightful bonus. Everything was perfect! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices were a bit steep. However, I understand that's typical for an island location, so it’s to be expected. I highly recommend this place!

We were on the island celebrating a friend's birthday that day. The outdoor patio area was nice. Server was great and the food were delicious, along with the drinks. We had the oyster shooters, Ponzu Sashimi Sea Scallops, a dozen of oysters, seabass, shrimp and chicken gumbo, and Gemelli Pasta with Shrimp Sea Scallops. The Sashimi was our favorite. I believe we had two orders of these. Definitely recommend to try out this place. The only thing we weren't a big fan of is the oysters. Although, they were delicious, but they were bigger than we imagined.
