Chez Amandine - Auxi-le-Château

Generally staff were good, except for the owner who was very rude and unprofessional.

Our regular chippy. Always great quality fish and burgers. I'm a fan.

For a fast food good price quality ratio. Service was good. Quantity too. Quality on fast food level. Only disappointing was my steak for euros which was too tough and not tender at all, so too expensive, else I would have rated it Rest of my company was happy with their meal. Would still recommend to visit

French take on an American diner. Lots of neon, bright lights, juke box playing quietly. Early Saturday evening and only one couple are eating in, plus three people (including me) queueing for a takeaway. This was in a Portakabin at the edge of town ..now they have moved into new premises in the centre (used to be Le Chaudron d;Auxi). Auxi-le-Château not being a huge metropolis, that's about away Burger and chips is the staple for takeaway. Steak is on the menu as well if you are eating in. Decent burger comes with fries for just over Mega burger is a half pounder with a slice of bacon; Blue has a slice of blue cheese; my favourite was Maroilles which had a slice of the local smelly cheese. As usual, the burger comes in a brioche bun, which I always find tasteless what's wrong with a baguette? Fast and efficient service It's not what I want from a restaurant in France, but obviously there is a market for this sort of thing

It was our last night in auxi le chateau and we decided to go out for dinner, we came across this place and figured you can't go wrong with a burger. The owner was so lovely and spoke fantastic English and made us feel very...welcome. The food is amazing and it's so clean. I can honestly say that the burger we both had was the best I think I'd ever had. I had the veggie burger and my husband had the mega burger, both of us had fries. Everyone that came in said bonsoir and bon appatite as they passed. Its such a friendly village. The owner has the right idea with this place and if he keeps serving up the delicious food that he does he's definitely onto a winner. Definitely a star rating
