The customer service at this restaurant was excellent. Everyone appeared to be genuinely happy to be there. The bagels were delicious - they were perfectly baked with a firm outside and soft inside, and they had a shiny finish. We tried a variety of flavors including plain, cinnamon, and everything. Although the bagel at this restaurant is decent for Austin, the staff is quite unpleasant. This completely ruins the overall experience and is totally unnecessary. I left in a bad mood. Wonderful bagel place in South Austin. Generous helpings of cream cheese. Great fresh bagels. Have to be a bit patient as it’s usually busy, but the wait is worth it.
Love their bagels. Loaded up today and got extras to freeze and reheat later. My 2 year old couldn't wait and snagged another out of the bag to snack on when we got home.
On another occasion, I stopped by Einstein Bagels right before closing and was ignored by multiple employees for 15 minutes. I tried to contact the owner but never heard back. The kitchen may be good, but the customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. It seems like they don't care about their customers. I've lost thousands of dollars because they can't train their employees in basic customer service. It's a shame, as the food could be good if the service improved.
