I almost never write reviews but after my experience at Westlake Wine Bar I came home and looked at some of the other reviews and felt moved to write this. Now everyone's experience is there own and at a restaurant every person may have a different idea of what makes for good food or good service. However after eating at this winebar on many occasions I can attest to one thing. I have never meet more genuinely kind p... View all feedback.

Great wine selection. While the food presentation was great, it tasted as if it sat under a heat lamp for a while and was not worth the high price. Service was average, unusual 18% service automatically with an optional 10% extra top. That could get you out if you don't mind. View all feedback.

It was like a walk into an expensive starter restaurant that looks really nice, but is somehow a mess and disorganized. Went for Valentine’s Day and was surprised to see 1 option on the menu Price of $80 per person. They took my credit card when I made the reservation, so I would have lost $50 if I left. It wouldn't have been a big deal if I knew the menu in it. I saw 6 other couples run out so I know I wasn't just throwing away one of them. Overall pretty bad experience, will not go back.
French onion soup was served luke warm. No cheese. Beef Bourgoin was full of fatty meat and was more like beef soup. It would have been nice to have had some crusty bread served with it. The potato gratin served was very greasy. The wine was good.
We’ve been meaning to go here for months, and finally remembered to do so. What a pleasant surprise! Wonderful food, great wine selection, friendly service. Will definitely be back.
This was my 3rd or 4th visit and this was the most disappointing. We bad a few appetizers, some mains and a couple of desserts between 4 of us. The cheese board was average at best. I've had that there before and the cheese on the last one was to die for. We have tried to find the cheese at specialist shops post visit. This time, they tasted like they came from HEB or Randall's out of vacuum packs. Nothing special. The burrata salad was so so. Tiramisu was more cream than a tiramisu and virtually flavorless. The flourless chocolate cake was the highlight for me. Wine was good and my husband said his beef bourgignon was good.
