What User doesn't like about The Buzz Mill Brunch Bird:
I wouldn't order from this restaurant again. The food was good, but it didn't wow me. I also ordered an iced tea, but it had no sweeteners and no option to add any, so I wouldn't have chosen it if I had known beforehand. View all feedback.
Ordered one of their summer specialties, the patty melts with garlic parm frits. Bread was crispy on top but soggy on bottom. Flavor was great. Big portions! Made their Hibiscus ice tea and cold brew in house with oat milk and lavender syrup. Both delicious. It is a strange and unconventional institution. You take a menu, sit yourself and order your food at the bar. Super nice bartender! She gives you a hive that lights up when your food is ready. You go back to your order placed on a small table. No waitress ever checks you. Very dark illuminated inside with odd seating and underfloor, which is used as a finished floor. There are a lot of beautiful outdoor seating, but it was too hot for it. The meal was great. I liked bird art on the walls!
Not crazy overpriced for the amount and quality of food. My non veg friend loved the food! Best vegan eggs Benedict I’ve ever had for sure. Fun ambiance and air conditioning inside.
Been here, now, several times each time the food is a 10 out of 10! Props to these cooks because THIS is what vegan food should taste like I'm not a vegan for my health, so it's always nice finding like-minded foodies that don't skip out on flavor or portions. Love this place so much can't wait to keep coming back for more make my way through their incredible menu
A Honee Lavender Latte is what gave me the inspiration for this title. The freshest lavender syrup I’ve ever tasted (it was homemade), and it was topped with some dried lavender. Also had a good vanilla latte, both with almond milk. We had a ciabatta sandwich and a wrap, both very delicious. A very enjoyable experience and atmosphere. A little more on the expensive side but good to treat yourself once in a while.
I came here because it was the closest vegan spot open when I got to my hotel after arriving in Austin late on a Sunday night. My plan was to eat while getting some work done, but I was surprised to walk into a comedy show, so I got takeout. Vegan mozzarella sticks are impossible for me to resist, so I got those as well as the chicken caesar wrap with gravy spuds. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy and fantastic 10/10 would eat again. The caesar wrap hit the spot, even if it was a little greasy at the end. For the gravy spuds, I had assumed from the description that they would be something poutine like, but they were just breakfast roasted potatoes with gravy for dipping. Nothing wrong with that, but after the mozz sticks and wrap, I was pretty full, so I only picked at them a bit. All in all, definitely a great find! I'd definitely return.
