Taqueria Chapala - Austin

Ordered breakfast tacos for pickup on their website, and they were ready right on time. The staff was friendly and warm. The salsa tasted fresh and the portions are filling, so it's great value for what we paid.

The beef always tastes great (I don’t order it ground). Their salsa tastes different about 50% of the time, but it’s still delicious. Limes aren’t usually fresh for some reason. The servers are so kind and helpful. When ordering through the drive thru, they are upfront about NOT being a fast food joint it’s a restaurant that has a window. That’s it. That said it’ll take about 20 40 minutes to pick up breakfast tacos if you’re going through the DT, but they’re large and amazing! Love this spot.

Great food and service...Carne Guisada Plate is great..stew meat tender with excellent gravy...I usually eat breakfast there every Sunday morning...get the Huevos Rancheros plate or Huevos Mexicana plate...when I eat there at lunch I get the Tex-Mex plate choice of beef,chicken or cheese enchiladas with charro beans, guacamole salad and a small bowl of queso on the side. Or I'll get the carne guisada plate which I described at the start...Chapala has a large menu which I should experiment with.....

I enjoyed the Combo Plate with Al Pastor and Chicken Fajita meats. The salsa was nice and chunky. Service was quick.

The combination plate was absolutely delicious. The staff was fantastic and very friendly. They also have excellent lunch specials.
