Chocolate was similar to a store bought cake but more moist. It wasn’t as wow as I had hoped, but maybe my expectations are set too high. The lemon slice was much more well received, except that I didn’t like the crunchiness from the sugar crystals. The lemon slice was also much smaller but the same cost. View all feedback.
What Elle Bea doesn't like about Susiecakes Austin West Wood:
I ordered the marble and chocolate cake, as well as the chocolate chip cookies. Texture and richness was delicious. Unfortunately to sweet to finish or eat in moderation View all feedback.
With no time to bake a birthday cake from scratch, I had to buy one, SusieCakes (omg, a chain) looked like my best option, my expectations were low. But wow, the red velvet cake was so moist and amazing, I may never bake again. I highly recommend.
Hands down the best bakery in Austin, and I’ve tried them all. Their cakes, cookies, and cupcakes don’t taste artificial and are like a homemade dessert on steroids! It’s a cute storefront and they have fresh cakes baked daily where you can buy them by the slice!
Love the aesthetic of susie cakes the employees always welcome you with a warm smile. if i had to choose one item to recommend it would be the strawberry cupcake, it is to die for its perfectly sweet so refreshing. all their cakes are not too sweet but that buttercream frosting…definitely the star of the show.
I had a sample at the domain yeti store recently and I can’t stop thinking about it! Making a trip this weekend
I can’t in good conscience rate this place 5 stars charging $7 for a teeny tiny mediocre piece of pie is insanity. Waste of money there are other bakeries with better products and way better prices.
