Easy parking. Nice mood when you go in. Very friendly and well-known waitress. The menu was excellent and varied. You can see that we had several different records. The Fajitas shrimp, beef, chicken were all amazing. For me, I had a chicken burrito. Pretty bad and I felt stupid for ordering and with beautiful expectations. What User doesn't like about Pappasito's Cantina:
My plate was a little sloppy. The service (my waitress) was excellent. Margarita was nice. The cook was accommodating. I'm just not a fan. I hope I can order something else. I only ask that all who have read my review compare my plate of food with other pictures that others have posted. I could be wrong, but I was disappointed. I hope I don't sound rude or bitter. It's gonna be a long one, but please read to the end. I visited this exact location on 9-21-22. I was in Austin for a convention honoring mentally challenged individuals. I was entertaining one such individual. The wait staff was amazing! My friend drank at least 7 cokes and his glass never went dry. The manager came over to great us. He was great! Now....I rank in the top 10% of Google reviewers in the U.S. for Mexican restaurants as well as a chef for the last 25 years. The hardest food to make in mass quantities is..... GROUND BEEF. Restaurants either try to keep the beef for too long or use pre-packaged spice mixtures..... or flat out don't season their beef. Papasito's ground beef is easily, hands down the best I've had. Their handmade, proprietary blend (which I know some of, but won't divulge) is a true culinary gift. The taco was longer than my foot! I made a point to introduce myself and tell the manager just what I wrote here. God Bless, brothers!
Sam was our server. She made a fantastic recommendation for the plate with shrimp brochette, beef phajitas and a quail. Oh, my fucking ****! Take the recommendations of the staff and enjoy a good meal! The tortillas are made in the house and are warm, affordable and the perfect medium for transferring food from the plate to the mouth. All staff were friendly. The atmosphere was a little loud when we first arrived, but when we were at the end of dinner, it got much quieter. Would this be highly recommended as a place for Tex Mex!
I haven't been here for years and had forgotten how good the food is. We came on Sunday night and again for lunch on Monday. Good chips and salsa and big cattle meal Tacos! Many parking spaces. The only bad thing was that they used only half of the available seats during Monday lunch, but we didn't have to wait too long for seating.
Great atmosphere, they had slings for our newborn in his car seat. Amazing mood and wonderful selection of dishes. At the moment they were in any case short staff, but the tables were distributed enough to conduct conversations while they were big laughs.
This restaurant is just the best! When we arrived for our reservation for 9 family members, they were ready and waiting for us. I told the manager how excited I was to be back with this Pappasito because we had gone all the way from Tennessee to eat here. God bless them, she has our appetizers! Ethan was our server and he was the best. The drinks were on site, the food was cooked for perfection and so delicious and the chips and salsa never ran out. Thanks to all staff for a wonderful gathering time for our family. We haven't been together for over a year because of Covid and it was a real treat
