Reviews - Native Hostel
Reviews summary
At Native Bar Café, patrons can expect an authentic Austin vibe paired with excellent acoustics and inviting ambiance. While many guests rave about the spacious layout, hidden gems within the venue, and top-notch cocktails crafted by skilled bartenders like Kali and Jas, there are notable concerns. Some visitors reported issues with the owner's aggressive demeanor and exorbitant drink prices, casting a shadow over an otherwise enjoyable experience. The lively atmosphere is punctuated by great performances, though music volume could be dialed down for a more relaxed feel. Overall, it’s a place to explore with a bit of caution.

The owner shows a complete disregard for respect and believes it's acceptable to speak to people in an inappropriate manner. He used offensive language and was aggressive toward someone who remained calm. His attitude comes across as entitled and excessively arrogant.
I've attended several events at this venue over the past year and have discovered some hidden nooks and rooms that can easily be missed! While the entrance is somewhat small, it's a lovely surprise to explore the more spacious areas within the building. The drinks at the bar are also very enjoyable!

The cleanest booths in Austin! There’s great coffee just next door. Speak Easy Sushi? Absolutely yes!
Native Bar Cafe provided me with an authentic Austin experience within a luxury hostel setting, even better than Freehand. The bar is fantastic, the live music is excellent, and the crowd is wonderfully diverse. I can't wait to return on my next visit!
The atmosphere is really great, but paying $20 for an old fashioned feels a bit excessive, especially since they didn't even use a large ice cube! Perhaps it was just the bartender I had, but I don't think I'll return for the bar experience.
I would like to kindly suggest that you take care of the sidewalk next to your property. The grass and weeds are often over 12 inches tall, and there is litter scattered all around. It seems that the tall weeds make it easier for people to irresponsibly dump their trash instead of disposing of it properly. While I understand that you may not be directly responsible for the litter, it really needs to be dealt with.

The cleanest stalls in Austin! Fantastic coffee next door. Talking about Easy Sushi? Absolutely, yes!
Native Bar Café offered me an authentic Austin experience in a setting reminiscent of a luxury hostel, but even better. The spacious bar, live music, and diverse crowd made it truly special. I can't wait to return on my next trip!
This is a really unique bar that features an art gallery and a tattoo board. The surrounding neighborhood is filled with amazing graffiti art, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. I highly recommend this bar! There’s also a food truck on site and a flea market nearby. So far, this is the best spot I've discovered in the city.
I've been to several events at Native Hostel over the year, and I have to say, this place is full of hidden corners and rooms that truly surprise you! Although the entrance feels a bit tight, venturing deeper inside reveals a lot of unexpected charm. The bar offers a great selection of drinks, and the menu complements the experience perfectly!
