I went here last night after hanging up? through a good training not to eat too much, but if you are looking for a good authentic and authentic South Indian food, then Nalas is for you. Also, yell at the amazing waiter Moin for stellar customer service. What User doesn't like about Nala's:
I ordered a spicy Chicken Chettinad Masala. The item was too liquid and the chicken pieces were smashed up in the gravy. This didn't look like Chettinad masala. The quality and quantity were very low. The white rice quantity/quality was good. Not worth the price View all feedback.
Food tasted great. Apart from the white rice that was not properly cooked for some reason, everything else was great. Mutton Curry was exceptional. You would do better Tikka masala Curries with more pieces, then Gravy. But main plus is the service. The waiters and hosts (also to find the owner) were very attentive and took care of everything with a radiant smile. It made a great experience.
Good food good service, was very craving for dosa from time. Pepper Chicken is okie as apps I found it little Gravy on him. I'll have a rice or a bread. Taste is great, but I'll be back.
Nala's is really the most authentic, high quality Indian food in Austin. I moved to Austin a few months ago and coveted Indian food. My apartment was right from NALA and it was a blessing. Nala's is really the best Indian food I ever had outside Asia (I have eaten Indian food in India myself and also during my time in Singapore, where there is also a large Indian population). Food at Nala's rivals every Indian food I had in Singapore or India. In addition, the staff is so nice and will make you feel very welcome. Very recommended!
This place was visited for the first time and was absolutely satisfied with everything! The food was delicious, especially the mutton and fish, and Asha served us exceptionally. Will definitely be back!
Overall a good place.Service is quick.Staff is very friendly.This was our first time the food tasted good.They do have Madhurai porotta which is close to Kerala porotta.Masala dosa and mango lassi was great.The biriyani was okay.The only issue I had was with the flies that kind of put us off I would recommend keeping that in mind in the future
