International Food - Austin

I had a pleasantly surprising dining experience at Al-Demashqy. My usual spot for falafel and hummus was closed early, so I decided to try this place instead. The falafel plate I ordered was absolutely amazing! My daughter and I made wraps using the delicious falafel, hummus, and other ingredients they provided, along with some garlic sauce. Unfortunately, the food disappeared so quickly that I didn't have a chance to take any photos! I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from this fantastic food trailer. They are open until midnight, so make sure to check them out!

This restaurant is always delicious. It is a food truck located in the plaza next to the Valero gas station. From the outside, it may not look like much, but don't be fooled. My favorite dish there is the Lamb-Beef Shawarma Sandwich. I'm usually not a fan of gyro, but this sandwich uses real meat that has the consistency of tender pulled pork (made with lamb and beef). As of 2/15/23, the meal cost me around $10, which is not bad at all!

Stop by here for AUTHENTIC chicken shwarma, I love the gyros you get all these other places and they're amazing in their own right, but this gives you the actual shwarma you get in the gulf and for that I'm grateful. We also got a box of falafel which were delicious.

The food here is AMAZING!! I randomly came across this place and it has been one of the best finds. I got the chicken shawarma and it was great! I'll be back for the lamb shank.
