This place was not bad if you want to taste Mexican food. I had the avo enchiladas, not as good as expected, but also not bad. You have many different cocktail drinks to choose, very delicious. It was early and they were not full. The host saw my 1 finger and he immediately asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. I said no and he reluctantly gave me a table. That was annoying. You had a table open. The focus is really beautiful food. Everything was art. The cucumber margarita had so many lovely flavors. Music outside was SO loud, even waiter was yelling. Outdoor seating is covered. Service was slow at a not-busy hour. Food was great.Parking: Will have to walk at least a block
Home to the best Micheladas on the planet?? Maybe...come try the drinks. All the drinks. They are fun for sure, and if your doing it right y'all will leave with some red colored lips-face...we came during SXSW and we're able to park in the alley and sit on on the patio. It was crowded but they took great care of us. The drinks were delicious and unique. Sweet, very sweet but well crafted and fresh Juices. Char-Char had the Pina jugo...it was delicious. I order the Gabbys Margarita with tamarind it was good, not as sweet. We orderd the queso and chips. Hot and yummy. The kids split a Torta, it's a huge sandwich with fajita steak, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and peppers. They crushed it! The fries were house made and silence says it all...I had the al pastor taco plate with rice and charrp beans. They were good, but I prefer a more traditional style. Regardless we had a great time and love this family of restaurants, woman forward and awesome!
Wow wow wow! Love the decor and ambiance at Gabriela’s food was the tastiest I’ve had in Austin to date and my goodness those cocktails were lethal! Great experience here and would definitely go back!
Great food, great service! I'm with one other review, it's a little loud for my taste, but I'm sensitive to noise. Everything was delish! The sour cream avo enchiladas were the best I've had, the shrimp tacos were a hit! The margarita flight was soooo good! It server was great! The queso fundido was? . Wanted the birrila tacos, but only served during brunch!?
Hello friends. You know I can be a snob about food. Well, I wasn't convicted. Great service. They just left me in a friendhouse. Except this friend was a great cook and knew how to make a great drink. This is a perfect stop before you get out or just a living room. Food looked and tasted great. That's a good place. I say this is best kept secret, that should not be a secret. You have to meet the owner Alma Gabriela Lopez. Your brainchild and her recipes are sure to impress your clogged pallet. Come and get her signature Margarita. See you soon.
