What Lon Schinner likes about Elizabeth Street Café:
Very dark, loud, and busy, but the food is well worth it. Fantastic flavour in the brisket pho. I love the sweet cinnamon-forward broth. The tables are very close together so be prepared to squeeze in. The bread rolls look good quality so I'd definitely try the Banh Mi next time. Highly recommend the beef brisket pho. Came here because the reviews made it sound good for vegans. But came for breakfast where there is nothing actually vegan. They were accommodating and can adapt a couple of things and food was nice enough. View all feedback.

The tofu mushroom bun, pho, tofu spring rolls are incredible! Been going here for vegan bun for years will continue to.
Banh mi was simple and on a sweet roll or something like a hit dog rabbit. The fried rice was salted and the rice was boiled in stock. The spring rolls were lik...

read moreThe French bistro offers a delicious menu with outstanding dishes, while the staff are friendly and accommodating. Banh mi, fried rice, and spring rolls are among the specialties recommended. Despite some issues with service and noise levels, the food is worth the visit. The small space has a cute vibe with fresh and flavorful dishes like shrimp spring rolls and reimagined Singapore noodles. The brisket pho is a standout dish, and the Banh Mi is also highly recommended. Pickup orders are well-packaged and on time, with the pho being a standout while the grilled pork rice vermicelli plate fell short. With amazing staff and delicious food made with love, the restaurant is a great choice. Overall, Elizabeth Street is back to its former glory with fantastic service and food, making it a top spot in Austin. The flavors, service, and ambiance make it a place worth returning to for many more delicious meals.
