Lunch was great. Had 3 tamale lunch special. Very tasty. Good rice and refried beans. Food came out hot and service was friendly. Salsa is hot with good flavor. Chips were crunchy and good, not paper thin nor tough. Would definitely go back. View all feedback.
What Stephanie Walker doesn't like about El Borrego De Oro:
The Spanish lady that works the register is sooooooo rude …. I ordered a soup and it took 25 minutes for my soup to come out … not only that when I asked her about it she said “ do you want the soup or not” like wow lady you don’t have to be so rude. View all feedback.
I love this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Can I have my bean and cheese taco to go please?! : They also serve up my face cheese enchilada the way I like em'
We ate at a lot of food trucks, BBQ places while in Austin and I think was the best. When the locals have the place PACKED at noon on a Sunday, you know it's awesome, authentic Michoacan food! I had Cabrito and menudo and they both were wonderful. Big portions and served hot! Definitely will come back here. Now I know why it's rated so well on urbanspoon!! Try it. Not fancy, just come-at-you good food.

Dank food, great service.. I eat here almost everyday it seems like..
My Favorite. This place has the best Mexican food in Austin. Their pork in chile verde reminds me of home (Las Cruces/El Paso), but their sheep and goat dishes remind me that home is just a small dot on the map. Thanks for introducing me to new worlds.
