Donn's Texas Bbq - Austin

I normally don’t post reviews but I’m livid. I got extremely sick with food poisoning after eating the “pulled pork” which was really just a dry chunk of meat on a bun. Why I’m so upset is because I have a 6 week old baby and now I’m bed ridden unable to drink fluids or eat food which means I’m not producing enough milk for my child. Seriously, food safety and cleanliness over everything, do better so people don’t get sick. It’s two days now that I barely have had any water because of a sandwich from this restaurant. Will never eat here again and if you care about your health, don’t risk eating here

What kind of bbq is this? Sorriest excuse for a bbq spot I have ever been to. The brisket was so dry, the CHOPPED BEEF LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE. And don’t even get me started with the Mac and cheese. The picture speaks for itself. I genuinely don’t know how this place gets so many good reviews. Do not get bbq here.Food: 1/5

HUGE portions 2 or 3 people could share a sandwich plate with 2 sides. Good down home feel — not fancy at all! You could totally walk in in a bathing suite and not be out of place.Food: 5/5

It 's always nice at Donn 's for just you and/or the family. All of their food is AA+, I love their Brisket by the 1/2 lb. or 1lb., and their charro beans are to die for, muey grande. Food: 5/5

Donn’s is an unassuming place that has been there quite awhile. They have a very full menu with lots of options outside of the standard BBQ fare. Their brisket can hold its own against other casual BBQ places and their sides are good too.Food: 4/5
