Reviews - Discada
Reviews summary
Discada is a no-frills Austin food truck known for one signature mini taco — a slow-simmered meat blend topped with pineapple, onion and cilantro — and a standout elote. The focused menu highlights balanced, bold sauces and spicy salsas; diners praise the savory-sweet tacos, perfectly seasoned esquites and friendly, welcoming service. Outdoor picnic seating and easy access off I‑35 make it a convenient stop, though portions are light and seasoning can be too salty for some.

When Austin taco truck Discada reopened after their long temporary closure, I was so excited to check them out and try their tacos. I really wanted to love them, but I thought they were too salty. The unexpected star of the show was the elote en vaso(esquites). Seasoned perfectly, spicy, and delicious I would come back just to order their elote again.
This food truck offers only one kind of taco and side, and both are delicious! The taco has beef simmered for hours and seasoned with their unique sauce, topped with pineapple, cilantro, and onion, sitting on a corn tortilla. The best part of the taco is itis not over flavored like others the whole balance of sweet, savory, meaty, refreshing is just perfect. The side is cream corntopped with cotija cheese and seasoned with cilantro, paprika, lime juice. Most of the cream corn may taste overly rich, butthis one has the sweetness/creaminess balanced by the sour/spicy. It is the best taco I have ever had!
WOW ????! I've never had this style of taco before, but I can't wait to have my next one. Such rich flavors, yet such a simple set of ingredients. Definitely one of the top 3 street tacos I've ever had ????
Really nice and friendly staff!! They only have 1 food item in their menu and it's their mini tacos. They sell them by 3, 5, or 8 and man are they full of flavor. In other words están bien chingones. And their elote smacks too.
I loved Discada! They only have one type of taco and it?s a blend of three meats. The tacos are very light so you?ll have to get many to be full on these. The salsa were the highlight for me. The pink one is inferno, but so tasty. I recommend gettingeverything with them to enhance the flavor the most. Everyone had the street corn but I did not add it to my order. I will doit next time!

Top of my list for tacos in ATX. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some of these!! Consistently delicious!
Some of the best tacos I’ve had in Austin. I arrived right at open at 11 and ordered four of each type of taco they offer. My brother who just moved to Austin loved all of them. The trailer is a bit underwhelming looking but the taste of the tacos more than makes up for it. I’ve been back three times and the tacos have been consistently delicious. Line can get a bit long if you wait too close to 12. Street corn was A .
Discada serves some pretty good tacos. They try to keep it as simple as possible, so they do not have many options on the menu. They only serve tacos with beef, pork, bell peppers, and onions topped with onion, cilantro, and pineapple. Although it is not my favorite, it is still definitely worth trying. The food truck is parked on the corner of the street but it has some picnic tables for outside seating.
10/10 best tacos I’ve ever had! Amazingly good. They are small so if you’re like hungry hungry get 5 or more to be full.
