The place is owned and run by the family settled in Auroville. This small bakery has fresh cokkies, breads, pasteries, and cakes. They also serve tiffin. Like titbits like dosa, sandwich and burger. The burgers cannot be fresh as they use frozen. You get all kind of soft drinks. The outdoor seating is not very neatly kept but good to be undershade. For people who are allergic to cats and dogs, probabily not a good pl... View all feedback.
Had been hearing about this place for a long time. So finally while driving to Swaram we came across this place. Very poorly kept, bad service. the croissants and pastry we had was just average. There was flies every and the whole place was dusty....Was such a disappointment as we had heard this place was in par with Auroville bakery.
I was a bit disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. There didn't seem to be much going on, possibly due to the recent rain or holiday. The place looked a bit run down and not very appealing for dining or grabbing a snack. I ended up just getting a cookie and leaving.
Quite a few vegan options were available here. Muffins we bought were good. Vegan biscuits tasty. It's a small place but not specifically worth going there. There are better bakeries within Auroville with better ambiance.
Food and beverages not so great, but economical for Auroville standards. I was surprised to see people smoking cigarettes as Auroville was supposed to be a spiritual place.
If you are seeking salad, Ganesh Bakery is not the place for you. However, if you are in search of fresh and delicious bread, you have come to the right place.
