we were underwhelmed. the menu was not of great variety. the parts were small. the waiter dropped a pan on the way out of the kitchen and put it back in our food without cleaning it. View all feedback.
Just finished supper here after getting off work. I had Lamb Tsada Tibsi. First time there, I had to use my phone to access the menu as they have no paper menus. Took a minute with my (apparently not so) smart phone. The meal arrived on the usual giant round platter on the obligatory huge Injera, with a salad and a puddle of very hot chilli puree. The lamb was very tender, nicely flavored in a light sauce. The taste was, in my personal limited culinary vocabulary, indescribably good. i have learned to love Ethiopian food although I really can't describe the spice taste. Well, I cleaned the platter except for the chilli puree which was VERY hot! The place was almost empty (it was about 5:30 pm) and the wait person and the manager were very gracious and helpful. Turns out as I was finished, the manager came by and we had a pleasant conversation about healthcare. (I was still in scrubs) and she is an LPN working in the VA system. The people there are very friendly and gracious. I will go back there again.

Great service, courteous, eating was tasteful fresh and tasty
We've come to portico a few times. consistency is their best ingredient. Eating is always delicious and we enjoy something new every time. here is what we have ordered (apologies I do not remember all unique teller names): Ethiopian camp (beer) (I asked the most popular Ethiopian beer and we received a delicious option, see photo) sambusas (they come individually, we ordered two lenses and a bark meat. both very tasty and crispy) spicy lamb (very tasty, a little oily but great taste) veggie platter (partly for two people; all tasty options, although the spinat had a bit warmer). because we enjoy portico so much, we give it five stars. we want to give everyone a head that it is not the cleanest device. yet eating is fantastic and the personal is incredibly nice and patient. I highly recommend checking portico. try something new and support them local, black company enjoys!
