Love the dosas at this place. And great that it's all vegetarian. Vegan items are marked on the menu. Unfortunately their weekly special nights are not vegan oriented the samosa chaat is not vegan, for example. View all feedback.
What Sammy Jo doesn't like about Masalaa:
I would give zero stars if possible. Worst Indian food ever, we both got sick while driving home, nearly threw up. The Samosas were a laughable imitation of real Samosas, looked and tasted like very old left-overs had been used; other food looked unappetizing and everything was off in taste including the dosa pizza and the mushroom dish; our fault for not reading reviews before coming! Only decent food was the naan,... View all feedback.
Eating here has never been disappointed. I wouldn't say the same thing about the diving experience. they were here twice, and both of them underused, but the workers here are really polite and try to do their best. masalaa has one of the best sambars and chutneys in denver metro. loves her South Indian food.
Have chased a local Indian food. the masalaa restaurant was surpassed and was very impressed. I had not expected it to be a whole vegetarian menu (probably in my hunger I missed it) but I must say after my first bit that I did not even notice a abnormality of animal protein! I had the vindaloo, which despite its spicy level, had flat complexity of the aromen. my missus had the bhindi massala, which was also delicious. After living in london and abu dhabi, where there is a pretty good selection and standard of Indian restaurants, I would say masalaa is right there with quality without pretentious. service was also great.
Diamant in the rough situation here. the Indian restaurant is not anesthetic. I love this place to serve delicious food to a great value. we went on a Friday night and could sit right away. the food came one by one and the service can hold back, but do not let it stop coming here. eating is too good to go upstairs. we ordered bhel puri (perfect), idly vada combo, paper masala dosa, aloo paratha and malai kofta. we have too much, but it was worth it. we will go back in a heartbeat.
With distance the best Indian vegetarian restaurant in denver! it feels almost as if they eat in a restaurant in in india. they make the best maize pepper dry and gobi 65! everything else on the menu is also amazing. the only part is that they don't have the eloborate menu they used to before the pandemic
My family and I have been eating here or ordering take-out (since covid) since 2002 or so. There seems to have been quite a few staff turnovers in these 2 decades, but some things have remained constant. GREAT food, pretty well every dish, every time, friendly people, and a relaxed pace of service. When we went into the restaurant back in the day, I always had to ask for the check. No rushing you out the door here. I enjoy this restaurant a lot, and I would recommend it very highly! We ordered take-out last night (Jan. 28, 2022) and it was as delicious as ever which prompted me to write this review.
