We had a Lifeline Pasta Fest event at St. George Social Center, in Joliet, on Oct.24, 2021. Katich Breads of Aurora kindly donated many loaves of focaccia bread. It was very moist, flavorful and delicious! I highly recommend this bakery.
Woohoo! A friend and I discovered Katic at the Evanston Farmers Market. Towards the end of the season, they mentioned they took online orders and would be available every Saturday throughout the winter on the EFM website. We’ve been enjoying their special items, and it has become a delightful tradition for us. The Kalamata Olive Loaf is a must-try, and although it might not sound particularly appealing, we couldn't stop talking about the Cracked Pepper Parmesan for a week after we tried it, eagerly waiting for its return. As for the croissants, they are amazing! So far, my favorite is the Blackberry Pistachio, but the Almond Croissant is a close second. It's definitely worth the trip from Lincoln Square to Evanston every Saturday morning (we take turns driving). If you haven't experienced this heavenly treat yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!
The breads are amazing. All of them. Look no further. A great family business with passionate and talented bakers. If you ever try their sourdough bread you will never go back to any other bread. Highly recommend.
