My wife and I stopped in at wings up new.arket to give the place a try. We both love wings and jhave had them all over Ontario and the U.S. We entered the restaurant and it was empty but very clean. Ordered at the counter quickly and we were helped through the menue. We ordered dry Cajun wings, jalapeño poppers, and deep fried pickles. Food came out quickly and hot. What Scott Lewin doesn't like about Wild Wing:
This rating is only for this Wild Wings, all the others I visited were great. This restaurant was my most awkward visit ever to a restaurant. When I entered there was no staff and after a few minutes my Wife and I thought it was closed, but then a staff member gets up from laying down on a seat. Great service, I go in every Thursday I can. Great wings, never any issue getting prompt wings. Great selection of beer on tap. A small restaurant that doesn't sit too too many people but once you're in there you're set.
Impromptu visit on a late Sunday afternoon when in the area.Asked for hot and had the 5 and 6 which were the hottest 2 sauces. I didn't even break a sweat on these wings. So no rush to go back. Service was OK. Bartender/server was doing hwer homework spread out across the bar. Not sure if she's supposed to do that. Doesn't give a very good impression of the place.
I always loved getting wings from Wild Wing...but having ordered from them recently I was really disappointed. The wings were really dry...which I honestly can understand - maybe it was a different chef, maybe an off night...but the wings were so small. As soon as I opened my take out container I saw these small, sad little wings I thought "here's another place trying to cut costs". I hate when restaurants do this. If something is good - don't change it to cut costs...you're just going to lose customers. I'm really sad to see this. I don't know if this is company wide or the Aurora location. I'm still hungry :-(
