What Anita M dislikes about The Keg Steakhouse & Bar:
Have enjoyed the Keg Aurora from day 1, and ordered from there for every family occasion, even during the pandemic. The food, the staff, the experience, excellent signature Keg! Today however, I am very disappointed. Ordered 2 mushroom neptune appetizers and each order was tiny not whole mushrooms but tiny thirds or halves and the creamy crab stuffing was just a tiny blob on each, that too more cream and less crab! We went here for lunch. The burger is great and the salads are plentiful and fresh. Very nice place to have lunch.
My first visit to this location was so-so. Since then have been several times and has not disappointed at all.Because it's further north, this location tends to be less busy than some of the other Keg's but the service and quality of food is still the same.Remember, it's still a chain, but it's a chain that operates like a stand-alone restaurant in regards to service and quality of food. As long as that doesn't change the Keg will always be a go-to for a great steak.
I found myself stranded in Aurora a few weeks ago, and decided to go to The Keg Aurora for dinner. The restaurant was packed, but my party of three was immediately escorted to a table. We were seated in a booth in the back corner of the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was deathly cold, and we tried to get a server’s attention to ask to move tables. We waited for a good ten minutes before moving ourselves. Our second table was much better, though I was surprised that the staff were nowhere to be found during this whole ordeal. Our waiter for our meal was incredibly friendly and talkative, and made the experience much more enjoyable. It was a good thing he was so friendly, because it partly made up for the limp, and tasteless caesar salad that I ordered as my appetizer. I wasn’t too disappointed by it though, because after all, The Keg is known for their meats, not their salads. My main made up for the salad and then some. I ordered a 12oz Baseball Sirloin steak. This incredibly lean and thick slab of meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The steak was accompanied by french fries and some vegetables, both of which were fine. One other complaint that I have was the lack of warm water in the bathrooms. I was surprised that a restaurant in a first-world country would not have warm water in their bathrooms. All things considered, if one finds themselves stranded in Aurora, The Keg is not a bad option for dinner. I give the restaurant one star (fair) out of three. The Keg Aurora in a nutshell: Fast, friendly service, with high quality meats and good portion sizes, though the salads were not at the same level as the meat. The bathrooms need some upgrades (mostly just hot water).
It's an amazing place. We go there frequently and we rate it as top 3 best the keg in the GTA. Nice and friendly staff with very nice interior design.
The salad and steak are both average. The steak is overcooked- burned outside. It is also very salty. The bread is hard to chew, the butter is too light. Doesn't taste like real butter. The good food is the French onion soup. The waitress is nice and welcoming. May not go back.

Enjoyable food, great service. Keg classic bread w/ 3 cheese spread, escargots, Keg classic Top Sirloin w/ mushrooms and onions, double baked potato. 2 lobster tails, mushrooms and double baked potatoe. A 1 pc of Billy Miner Pie. Yum. This locations should consider a dress code for patrons though.
Went to The Keg for a family outing...first time since full capacity. Make sure you make reservations to make your dining experience more enjoyable. Chris, our waiter was absolutely fantastic! Super nice, friendly, great with the kids and his recommendations were excellent. The kids got the Keg Burger and they both found the burgers on the greasy side. Hubby got the Rib Steak with a Lobster Tail and he said it was tasty. I got the Sirloin Steak and with the Baked Twice
Had our first dine in meal with 100% seating capacity. It?s was really busy but the staff did a great job. Meal and service was great. We were a party of 10 and there was a group beside us with more than 20. Every table was occupied, it was a bit odd being back at 100% seating capacity, it was crowded. However service was great and would definitely recommend this location.
We used to order from The Keg, but this time we were disappointed. The steak was burnt (not browned, but burnt, tasted like charcoal), overcooked (we ordered medium rare), and this should not be served to any customer. Second, we were given a whole quarter cabbage as a vegetable side. Shouldn't it be chopped nicely just like other salad? I don't even know if the cabbage was rinsed. Third, you can see in the picture that the broccoli next to the burnt steak, was also
The medium cooked striploin is the best. The medium rare baseball sirloin is a bit hard to chew. They have free snacks celery and carrot for kids. Only thing I would suggest to improve is their mushroom rice as It is too dry. Great service and great food. Thank you!

Huge wait on a Saturday night. They don't take reservations during peak periods. They did try to serve fairly fast once finally seated. Good steaks.
We love the Keg. Despite sky rocketing prices and diminishing portion sizes, it’s predictably tasty. We also love people in the bar. Problem is when u sit in the bar, you’re served by the bar staff. And at 5 pm all is well. By 6, when it gets busy, you are AN AFTERTHOUGHT. Service takes a nosedive. Not cool.
I had a really bad experience we were sitting for one hour and my food is still not ready this is ridiculous such a bad service
After too many months of not being able to celebrate a birthday by going out to dinner we were very happy to choose The Keg in Aurora today. Outstanding service by everyone in the restaurant. Polite, friendly and very perceptive to our party. The food was just as outstanding.I’m so glad this chain has survived and encourage everyone to open up their wallets for a splendid evening!

Never had a complaint with the Keg, ever, even with the Keg Aurora from day one that it opened, but I felt compelled to write this review today.

Dinner with old friends …ordered 3 10 oz filets with different cooking instructions for each…we’ll, medium and medium rare…also wanted the bacon that wrapped the steak to be cooked…each done, expertlyGood quality meat…atmosphere is just okA busy place and very loud!!The service was marred by a young loud mouthed waiter who interrupted our meal numerous times with, ironically, questions about the “service”…really?? Go away!Been here several times…strongly recommend for the food!

Was first time to the keg. My steak was little undercooked for me but overall was still delicious. Hunter was our amazing server took care of all our needs. Thanks to manager for speaking with me and offering to take my dinner back to kitchen which I appreciated but wasn't necessary. Thank you for the dessert. Overall was amazing evening will definitely return.
Worked at the Richmond Hill location for about 2 and a half years now. Thought I would visit this location at Aurora for the first time with my boyfriend. Never thought I would say this but worst experience I had ever had. This place is a joke....First of all, the place looks like it's only halfway ready to receive customers. There is no decoration on the walls, they are still looking for a whole lot of staff....The waitress was drunk, and it is not the first time, as we learnt from the next door restaurant customers where we went to get dessert since the food was so bad. When she served our dishes, her thumb was dipped right into the sauce, very gross. She didn't even know what she was serving us and called out the wrong dish name. Then as we were done and the plates had been cleared, she tried to serve us plates again. We told her it was for the table next to us, we had already eaten (there were 3 busy tables at the restaurant FYI). She then came back and said she'd be back with menus, so we told her, again, we had already eaten. THE NAME WAS MARIA BEVERLY. She didn’t even accept my pay stub. Not even going to say this but my pay stab was not even processed through the bill and I got no discount.
I had an amazing experience at your establishment, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight the exceptional service I received from Alberto, our server. Alberto went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. He was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made us feel like valued guests throughout our meal. Alberto's professionalism and warm personality truly elevated our visit. Thank you, Alberto, for making our evening unforgettable! We will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking outstanding service and delicious food.

The keg is a very good choice for those who have gf and DF requirements. the waitress was excellent to discuss my options and the manager came to confirm everything with me. I have changed a few pages to make sure they were gf and they were more than happy to accommodate. the manager brought my meal even it was delicious! I recommend the keg!
The Keg Steakhouse & Bar is a fantastic option for anyone with gluten-free and dairy-free dietary needs. The server was very helpful in explaining my choices, and the manager made a special effort to verify all the details with me. I modified my side dishes to be gluten-free, and the staff were extremely accommodating. The manager even went the extra mile by personally delivering my delicious meal. I highly recommend dining at The Keg!
