Have visited this cafe numerous times. Love the secluded location and the coziness of this little cafe. Good variety of breakfast/lunch offerings and so far, everything I've tried has been delicious. Friendly atmosphere. Small patio outside but not inviting. Overlooks parking lot. View all feedback.
Went to meet with friends a couple of times in this Café. Always a nice and welcoming place and the owner is friendly. Really like the décor, the books , the couch and the unique flooring. The coffee and snacks are great too.
One get the impression of a intellectual hangout. Lots of books and a comfortable couch to crash on. The coffee is good and fresh, the snacks are excellent.
On the Bean is as authentic as you can get when it comes to the coffee house experience. I've been going there for over a decade and have always found it to be very friendly (even as it transitioned from one owner to another), comfortable (in a home-like way), and tasty. A wonderful contrast to the coffee chains that dominate our urban landscapes these days. Why go to a Starbucks or Tims when you can get the real experience at On the Bean?
This little cafe has that "just like home" feel to it. There are tables and chairs of course but also a nice sitting area by the window on the couch or wing chair. The owner has a huge selection of books to choose from and many times I see people sitting reading the newspaper and relaxing. Personally, I usually go there a couple times a month and meet a friend for tea. We love the atmosphere. There is a menu with homemade soups and sandwiches, and pastries, buns etc. The butter tarts are a great treat in the afternoon. And if you go regularly, there is a card to get stamped for earning free product.
Always friendly welcome and local place. Good place to stop and grab lunch or a coffee without the feel of a corporate chain. Love these types of places where the food is good and service is warm.
