We were looking for somewhere which did galettes or savoury pancakes. Having rejected several touristy places in the old port of Auray, we came across this little restaurant in a small cobbled street near the town hall. The galettes were freshly prepared and delicious. We ordered a bottle of local cider and that was also excellent and served really cold. The young couple who run the place were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a light lunch.
We had visited Auray on market day (Monday) expecting to find many restaurants open for business but were perplexed to find in the market area only two that we thought a little expensive. We turned a corner into a small street and stumbled on La Korrygane. What a find! we both had the 'Formule Complete' consisting of a galette bretonne followed by a crepe traditionale and accompanied by a cup of cider. The quality of it all was excellent and we were well satisfied.
Working in Pluvigner and some French colleagues knew about this place. We went for dinner and what a delight. A great selection of gallettes and crepes served with fine local beer or local cider. One gallette and one crepe for dessert is more than enough to fill you up. Great selection of fillings with house specialties that make it easy to pick something interesting. My friends said this was real Brittany - my only thought is wow, must explore more of this part of France.
