Has not to be missed under any pretext if you pass through the gorges of the verdon and near the lake of saint cross. this simple-looking camping restaurant will not remember your attention at first but the view from the terrace is really spectacular. Originally from the alps, I have the habit of panoramic terraces, views of the lakes, and viewers in the ski resorts, but this point of view is extraordinary (contrast between the blue water of the lake and green vegetation, contrast of the reliefs.) I have rarely seen a place where reality is better than postcards but here it is.Now that I know I plan to go back there for a sunset that must further enhance the panorama. We just took a break from the ice: it's about ice-cream in a brand that is found in supermarket, so nothing remarkable in terms of taste; friendly welcome.
We ate 3 times at the restaurant of the campsite and we took 3 times the camembert because it is excellent. servers are pleasant and reasonable prices.
I am not oa at the campsite but my love tempted me and I am really happy with it! the campsite is well located, lake view, the right spaces not to be one above each other as you often see, staff always helpful and kind, new bathrooms always clean. perhaps not the cheapest but the quality has its price. also the restaurant offered us a beautiful experience, simple but very gorgeous! I highly recommend to those who want to camp in the verdon!
Stayed in our van. The restrooms were spotlessly clean. The location was superb.
Good campsite: Clean sanitary facilities, with self cleaning toilet seats. Although there was a difference between the two facilities. Spacious tent pitch Good restaurant, with a terrace offering a fantastic view Excellent bread service! You can easily walk to the beautiful little village Points for improvement: Our tent pitch wasn't level, meaning we were pitched at an angle. That's not ideal. (There were also some straight pitches. Our tent pitch had a power outlet, which wasn't CEE compliant, but a French socket. We didn't have a plug for that, but we could borrow one from the campsite! The campsite was beautifully situated on the mountain, but if you wanted to do your grocery shopping in a larger supermarket or town, for example, you had to drive quite a distance on narrow, winding (but beautiful roads, which slowed things down.
