Double S Smokehouse - Augusta

I wanted to go. Good grill. Good portions. Too full to taste the desert that sounded good. We'll be back.

We've always stopped at Double S Diner after we cut our Christmas tree down. Too bad it's gone. So we decided to finally try the Smokehouse. The food was very good. A burger was a bit undercooked. We had 1 out of 5 burgers. But the atmosphere and the staff are great. The big Mason glasses for drinks. Server was very attentive and prompt. We had the smoked wings, Smokehouse Burger, Boss Hog Burger, Mac Attack Burger and the BBQ Burger. All very tasty and large portions. Nobody's done. Wife and children loved the hot chocolate.

Beautiful street stop with outdoor seating on the veranda. Large menu with very good BBQ and good selection of pages. We thought the fried green tomatoes were overpriced (only 4 slices for $9) and Coleslaw a little dry, but everything was very delicious and good fast service!

Excellent food. Friendly service. Definitely will be back again!

Excellent food! Great homemade grill taste. Excellent efficient service also. Not pricey either.
