Unfortunatel... read more I visited the restaurant on the afternoon of January 30, 2025, for coffee and cake. The food on offer is good. The price/performance ratio is good. Unfortunately, the behavior of the service staff is a bit odd. They aren 't particularly friendly, to say the least, and they blame this on a lack of staff. Their favorite phrase is immediately if you want to order or pay. In my case, this immediately took almost half an hour twice, even though it wasn 't particularly busy. One of my orders was passed on to a colleague, which meant even more waiting time. Regular customers with accounts simply had their receipts placed on the table without further comment. There was no question of whether the bookings were correct and whether the guests agreed to them. That day, I was reminded of the service staff in restaurants in the former GDR. No customer focus whatsoever, no need to be particularly friendly. Simply a shame.

Often you lose your appetite just by reading the list of dishes. Staff very unfriendly. You can 't pre-order lunch because there are already three slips of orders (original sound from the service to residents who have to pay a monthly meal allowance of 180 euros! . The most common word from the staff, whether you order or want the bill, is same . The same can last up to 45 minutes and is repeated with each new reminder. Because of a lack of staff... on my last visit, at 3 p.m. in the afternoon, there were four waitresses there. One wrote the daily specials board for the following day, one cleaned the coffee machine, one enjoyed her coffee behind the counter and the waiter ran like a madman so that the ladies could rest. Nevertheless, I waited 30 minutes for my bill. There is also little emphasis on hygiene. The boss and reception staff 's dog is allowed into the kitchen, is given treats by the waitress and immediately afterwards, without washing hands, cake is placed from the display case on the plate. The Albaretto 's motto appears to be: The main thing is that the money is right and for the “old” people it has to be enough

T... read more Albaretto is a truly feel-good restaurant for me. Delicious food, reasonable prices, and exceptionally friendly staff create a thoroughly pleasant atmosphere. The portion sizes are moderate and just right – no overloaded plates, which I really appreciate. It's usually very busy on Sundays, so it's best to make a reservation and expect a bit of a wait. However, this is more than compensated for by the high quality of the food and the always attentive, warm, and cheerful team. Since there's usually no vegetarian option, I choose the fish – and it's sensationally good and easily rivals that of high-end restaurants. Also highly recommended in the afternoon: very tasty cakes and pastries, as well as excellent coffee, espresso, latte, and cappuccino (all also available with oat milk). Perfect for both a quick bite and a leisurely meal.

The prices were really great. The cakes were fresh and delicious. Large slices. We'll definitely be back. We'll try the lunch next time.
