Das Essen, der Servi... read more Dieses Jahr hat es sich so ergeben, dass ich meinen Geburtstag alleine feiern musste. Meine Wahl dafür war das Manyo eine vorzügliche Wahl! Das Essen, der Service, die Zubereitung, alles fantastisch. Der Chef und der Koch haben mir sogar persönlich gratuliert, und zum Abschied gab es sogar noch ein kleines Geburtstagsgeschenk für mich, worüber ich mich sehr gefreut habe. Ich komme definitiv wieder, und diesmal nicht alleine! :-)

Ich war in 20 Jahren 3 mal im Manyo (-oben leider falsch geschrieben).Ich wurde nie enttäuscht,da es einen sehr guten Ruf hat,sind die Erwartungen natürlich auc... read more Ich war in 20 Jahren 3 mal im Manyo (-oben leider falsch geschrieben).Ich wurde nie enttäuscht,da es einen sehr guten Ruf hat,sind die Erwartungen natürlich auch dementsprechend hoch.Es ist schon ein tolles extravagantes Erlebnis,wenn die Speisen direkt vor dir,auf der heißen Edelstahlplatte zubereitet (gekocht,gebraten) werden.Egal ob man alla Kart,oder ein Menü nimmt,es ist immer etwas außergewöhnliches und nicht wie bei anderen Japanern,dadurch wird es sich auch seinen sehr guten Ruf erworben haben,das es weit über Augsburg hinaus sehr bekannt geworden ist.Es ist ein absolut empfehlenswertes Speiselokal,auch wenn man mit der Japanischen Küche bisher nichts am Hut hatte.Es sind wunderbare Geschmacksexplosionen im Mund.( Ein Freund sagte zu mir: Es sei ein Orgasmus auf der Zunge,wobei ich das nur bestätigen kann ;-) )Gut es ist nicht ganz billig,aber man geht ja auch nicht jeden Tag dahin,obwohl man es gerne würde,wenn man könnte.Die Servicefrage entfällt,da man direkt am Tisch bekocht wird

Der Service ist gut und das Kochen der Speisen direkt am Tisch ist sehr beeindruckend. Einer der besten Japaner, den ich in Deutschland erleben durfte.

Chefs are friendly and a little entertaining Would be good to see them do more tricks though. Restaurant could do with some soft music in the background. Food menu has some great options. Go for the set menu if you can’t decide. Pricing is not too bad, with multiple dishes served in the set menu.

I... read more Visited the Manyo again after a long time and it was as I remembered. My friend and me went for the Teppanyaki which is prepared in front of you at the table. It's something that you shouldn't miss. Very interesting to observe how the chiefs are handling the food and their knives. The food is from exquisite taste and light. As all of the Japanese food. Additional I have to mention that my friend is gluten allergic and the Manyo really took care to prepare all their food gluten free. Well done. Definitely worth a visit. Prices are fair for the quality.

Every time it's spectacular and outrageously tasty. It's a very good way to show others what food in general and restaurants should be like joy for all senses. Especially recommendable are the multi course meals (Akane, Wakana etc. . I've never had better beef than here and even tofu is okay, which I usually tend to avoid. Fish is delicious as well, of course. Moreover, the desserts are a feast for eyes and palates and the chefs try to explain the whole procedure while throwing food around. Due to mixed tables you often get to talk to other intrigued guests. The atmosphere combines traditional Japanese elements with very modern ones. Mind you it's not a sushi bar, but a Japanese restaurant that also serves sushi. Conclusion: Must see! One of the best ways to spoil one's palate. But save some money first.

I would say that the balance between price and quality of food is very value. Ten portions are good considered and at the end you wont have the feeling that you ate to much. It is the perfect size! If you come at the time as a typically japanese (early) to the restaurant you don't need any reservation. If you come a a German, please give them a short call and reserve a table. They speak very good japanese, though and the Germany is outstanding good. Everything is original and the support and service is perfect for a dinner with your be loved!
