Revel Cafe - Auckland New Zealand

This was my first visit to Revel since the change in ownership. I had previously enjoyed a 5-star experience under the previous owners and was excited to see how the new ownership would compare. <br/><br/>I came in for brunch on a Sunday morning around 11am. The cafe was fairly empty, making it easy to find a seat. I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere where you can play board games or read books while waiting for your food. <br/><br/>I ordered the omelette with cheese, onions, and mushrooms, while my friend had the eggs benedict with salmon and creamy mushrooms. I also enjoyed a soy milk iced mocha. Both dishes were generously portioned and beautifully plated. While my omelette was delicious, my friend felt his meal was lacking in flavor compared to previous visits. <br/><br/>I have also tried the vegan pancakes and waffles here before, which were amazing! The iced mocha was good and had a decent kick, but I wish I had been informed about the ice cream in the drink as I had requested soy milk (not sure if it was dairy-free). While this was not an issue for me, it could be problematic for others with dietary restrictions. <br/><br/>The service was friendly, but the wait time for our meals was quite long, possibly due to a large group dining outside. This is the reason for my 4-star rating. <br/><br/>The selection of treats in the display cabinet looked tempting, and I am excited to try them next time. This cafe is a great option for those with dietary restrictions as they offer a variety of options to cater to different needs.

I decided to try the Vegan breakfast and it was delicious! The crispy tofu, spicy pumpkin dish, mushrooms, spinach hummus, and potato hash were all amazing. The white sauce was tasty too! I will definitely be coming back. And I can't forget to mention the omni meal which was also great. I really enjoyed my almond decaf latte as well. Thank you to the lovely staff!

I have never been so impressed and pleasantly surprised by a café before. The quality of customer service at Revel is excellent. When I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I had any dietary requirements (I said yes, vegan), and they pointed out menu items that were suitable for me, which I found very helpful. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable, and creative. The food is tasty, appetizing, and served quickly. I will definitely return and recommend Revel to friends and family. Thank you!
