What User doesn't like about Jack Tar:
Overall, it was a pretty average experience. The outdoor seating area is nice. The staff were hit or miss. We tried the duck fat fries (which were okay), burger sliders (also okay), and the pork belly bites (which were excellent). If you're looking for a more adventurous culinary experience, this might not be the place for you. However, it's a good option for a pleasant meal. View all feedback.
Brilliant food options. Well cooked and carefully presented meals. Nice decor and ambience, decent music choice. An ideal location with ample parking within 5 minutes walking distance. Rustic, yet trendy. Live music on Wednesdays which is a welcome change. Slightly on the expensive side. $70~$100 for drinks and dinner for 2.
Came here for dinner on Saturday night, place was busy but you can book online so makes it super easy. Food was amazing and service was pretty good. Menu is really diverse so had heaps of options to choose from. Would for sure come back.

I’d like to share my breakfast experience. We ordered the Florentine and the breakfast bruschetta with extra mushrooms, along with a juice and coffee. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.
Jack Tar is the perfect spot to relax with friends and family in a laid-back open setting, offering stunning views of the viaduct harbor. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, making it an inviting place to spend time. Despite being busy, the waitstaff are skilled at keeping customers happy, even during peak times. I've visited this restaurant more than five times, and I can confidently say that their BERRY COLADA is a must-try cocktail! Additionally, their Jack's Catch and Prawn Sweet Chilli pizza is simply delicious. If you're looking for a place to catch up with friends in a comfortable environment, I highly recommend Jack Tar.
