Great to have some vegan options in Rosedale! Love the smoothies. The Kumara toast on the menu was yummy along side a slice from the cabinet. The cashew sour cream was so good! Will be trying more soon. Only thing I didn’t like was the coffee which was burnt tasting. View all feedback.
Amazing selection of gluten-free and other allergen-free foods. Interesting staff. Healthy and delicious food.
For Saturday brunch, I headed to Rosedale to try something new and decided on Sip Kitchen. I was glad to find an impressive menu (for both food and drinks that’s clearly aimed at vegetarians but still caters well for omnivores that stumble upon this café too.<br/ <br/ I wasn’t that hungry when I came in, so I opted for one of their pre-packed salads from the cabinet. The Asian kelp salad was fresh and tasty, although it didn’t have any seaweed in it like I expected (by “Asian kelp” did they mean “glass noodles'? . But to be honest, what drew me in was the gorgeously sliced avocado anyway. You can get this salad with tempeh (fermented soy product, looks kind of like tofu but I ordered it with chicken. At first it looks like they give way too much dressing, but by the time you’ve had a few bites you realise that you'll need it for both the salad and the dry chicken breast. <br/ <br/ The spicy chai latte was milky and still pretty sweet. I’ve had better, but no real complaints here.<br/ <br/ Ambiance-wise, I liked their lush greenery wall. There aren’t that many tables, so it’s more of a place to order takeaways rather than bring a whole group of friends around. And as an extra for the eco/vegan/vegetarian crowd, they also sell interesting paraphernalia like books, keep-cups, dried snacks, and teas that would make great gifts. <br/ <br/ Overall, the portions are pretty generous but overall a bit pricy (given that the meals are predominantly salad-based . Next time, I’d like to try one of their smoothies. They have regular ones as well as kids ones that are cheaper and simpler in terms of ingredients.
Finally had the chance to visit today, loved the experience. Everything was so healthy yet so delicious!Price could be a little expensive, but definitely worth it!!
