The Twisted Crab - Auburndale

Worst seafood I've had in a long time. Ordered noodles and got broccoli. Calamari was very rubbery. Not a cheap place to eat given the quality of the food. Will not be going back and do not recommend. Only plus was decor, overall pretty sad experience.

I love this place! They always make sure it?s good every time! The only issue I have is when I order crab legs they barely have any meat in them other than that they are AMAZING!

Today, we tried their special, and it was absolutely amazing—5 pounds of seafood for just $65! You can't beat that deal. It included 1 pound of headless shrimp (you can choose head-on if you prefer), 1 pound of crab, 1 pound of black mussels, 1 pound of crawfish, and 1 pound of sausage. Additionally, you receive four halves of corn on the cob and four small potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection once again. I've had my fair share of southern or low-country boils, but this experience surpassed them all. We ended up taking half of our meal home! Once again, Paul ensured we had everything we needed at just the right times. It takes a lot to impress me, especially when it comes to seafood, but Twisted Crab has easily earned my five-star rating!

I visited the restaurant shortly after it opened at noon. The atmosphere is quite nice. However, I ordered the shrimp and crawfish combo and was very disappointed. Both the shrimp and crawfish were completely dried out—I can only guess how long they had been frozen. They tried to mask this by adding a lot of butter (see pictures). Lol.

The food was outstanding! The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. It was the best seafood boil I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We will definitely be back!
