We missed breakfast, but lunch turned out to be fantastic. I ordered half of a Reuben sandwich, and it was enormous! The bread was thick and made in-house. I also had a bowl of the Autumn Harvest soup, which was loaded with vegetables. I really enjoyed the coconut milk and squash—it was just right for a rainy day! The staff was incredibly nice, helpful, and friendly! View all feedback.
What Bard Eager doesn't like about Sun Break Cafe:
I had a terrible experience today. It's really disappointing to see how this once lovely establishment has declined. I hope they find capable servers soon. I was seated quickly and provided with a menu and coffee, but then I waited 20 minutes without so much as a word from a server. At the very least, they should check in with their customers. I noticed several dishes being sent back and some tables receiving partial... View all feedback.
If you like large portions, this is the place for you. That’s not my preference, so I was a bit disappointed. I ordered to go and the service was great. However, this was a half sized All Together Scramble and it wasn’t enjoyable. The vegetables were watery, as if they were frozen and not fresh. There was probably an entire cup of cheese atop the scramble and I couldn’t discern any of the eggs. The flavor was underwhelming.
We came here because we wanted to try this place when we lived here from 2011-17 but never got around to it because we found a place we liked.Well made it here today, we are back in town and honestly wasn't overly impressed.By no means was it bad tasting, it was just TOOO much food!! I felt like I paid a lot of money to waste a lot of food. The service was mediocre and I had to get someone to refill my coffee, which shouldn't have happened. The 3 of us had the half order of chicken fried steak and Eggs x2, pancake and French Toast side of hash browns with OJ and Coffee.Overall just okay, if I ever eat here again I will definitely share with some one, so no food is wasted. I honestly don't believe it is as good as people say.
Food came out cold, sausage patty was so hard you had to cut it with his steak knife, coffee never got refilled and tasted watered down. Overall a horrible experience. 2 stars for the effort. 0 for the food.
Just moved to the area and looking for a good breakfast place to frequent. The proportions were big, but the food was adequate. Hands down the worse service I’ve had. Not rude just horrible.
The only thing you ever need to order is the Monte Cristo with both ranch and jam. I've never ordered anything else but I've only heard good things about the other menu items.Big portions, great service, consistent coffee refillsBest breakfast spot in Auburn, damn, I might even say all of Washington
