Sierra Grill - Auburn

We had the sweetest server ever here! I can't remember her name but she was the younger one. She made dining here a delight. The prices are reasonable as well and the food was delicious. I had the Pesto Chicken Sourdough sandwich. Yumm!

The food is good. The server was slow as molases (only 3 other tables were seated). They manager aparently did not know how to split the bill??? He said only 1 bill per table?? We asked how much was the coffee, he said he didn't know. How much was the plates, again he didn't know. Won't go there again.

The dining experience here is truly fantastic; the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent, thanks to the attentive owner. This is a family-run establishment, and they genuinely care about their customers. I've dined here numerous times, and I've never had a bad experience. The Happy Hour is also great, offering beer, cocktails, and other drinks at a discounted rate. I highly recommend this place; it's conveniently located off I-80, making it a perfect stop when traveling up or down the mountain. Enjoy your visit!

The steak and eggs here are the best I've ever had for the price. We've always appreciated the value, but one night we had a rather frustrating experience with an older blonde waitress. She completely ignored me and only spoke to my husband, which was uncomfortable. I usually help him decide what to order, so I was answering for him when she would ask questions. After getting embarrassed, I finally stopped speaking for him. It seemed like she noticed when I stopped making eye contact. We won’t be returning in the evening unless we can have a different server.

I visited this restaurant 6 to 8 times last year and generally enjoyed the food and prices. However, on three occasions, I had the same waitress who seemed unwilling to check in on us, making us feel ignored. Other than that, the location is convenient, as it’s just a short walk from the Black Bear across the street. On my most recent visit today (8/24/14), I noticed they were accommodating a unique group of customers who had just returned from Burning Man.
