Chez Laurent - Aubigny-En-Artois

A very warm and friendly welcome, despite us speaking very little french and the owner speaking just a little english. Perfect atmosphere for a family lunchtime meal. Food was excellent. Definitely worth stopping off her if in the area.

On a wet Friday afternoon we hoped to find somewhere to stop for lunch. We found Chez Laurent by chance we were so glad we did ! We were given a very warm welcome served excellent food. We spoke only a little French they spoke only a little English but, between us, we had lots of fun !

We came across the restaurant on our way to the war graves in Aubigny-en-Artois .we stopped first for a coffee and it looked like a nice restaurant . Although they did not speak English ,they were most welcoming and helpful . We decided on the way back to call again for a meal this time . Well I must say I’m glad we did . Once again they were helpful and welcoming even though I think they were getting close to closing . We were given time to decide what to choose on the menu, which was difficult as we don’t speak french. The food was excellent and good value and not overpriced as some places in France can be . Overall good food , good value and friendly staff .

On our way home we accidentally ended up in this restaurant and had a great time here. We got a nice and warm welcome and felt at home right away. Although they speak only a little English, they really take the time for you to understand them and visa versa. The servicings were quick and the food, wine and beer were good! Merci beaucoup!!
