Dynamic and friendly staff... read more In Aubenas over the weekend, I had dinner both evenings at L'Antre Deux. Everything was perfect there. Excellent welcome and service. Dynamic and friendly staff and full of little touches (Thank you for my little Shine) Wide choice of dishes. The cuisine is delicate, full of subtle flavors and the plates are beautifully presented. The wine list is well stocked, unfortunately I was not able to take full advantage of it because I was leaving by car. In short, I found my table when I return to Aubenas.

Already I think that we were unlu... read more Good evening, I 'm writing my review straight away from the restaurant and I 'm going to try to justify the stars I 've given. Already I think that we were unlucky because the waiter explained to us that the menu had just changed, so I can say that we have wiped the plaster. There was only one menu for €38 with a choice of 2 starters tuna tartare or snail soup , 2 main courses veal steak or St Pierre fillet and 2 desserts banana or chocolate cake . Presented like that it seems simple but there were no names on the card and you can imagine that the banana was “cooked”. Given the price of the same dishes à la carte, it was more advantageous to take the menu. There weren 't many of us in the restaurant this Thursday evening, three tables including one with one person who left quickly. Nothing that justifies the fact that after the appetizer, our dishes were served cold. A friend had her plate of veal turned over to reheat it personally I ate it cold and another had her fish turned over because it was definitely not cooked. In terms of quantity on the plate, I can tell you that I am writing my opinion while eating a leftover pizza that I had in the fridge and a banana this one not cooked . Now I admit that no one has the same appetite. Personally I think the plates were way too big for what was on them, but hey, you need plenty of room to put the commas or the little dots of sauce. It 's not my cam but others like it, it 's up to you. That was to justify the 3 stars I gave to “cuisine”. In terms of service, the server did the job. He paid for the digestive only me had one for the two dishes that went back to the kitchen, which was nice of him. I removed 2 stars because as there were only us left in the restaurant it was not yet 10 p.m. , he deliberately made a racket by moving a chair which was very well where it was and stirring dishes that didn 't have to be. We received the message and left immediately. 3 stars also for the atmosphere...because there was none. Background music, no tablecloth on the table, paper napkins, we expected more to eat our menu at €38 €42.50 with the aperitif . We didn 't have any wine or coffee, which is perhaps what led us to go and finish our conversation on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. This is my opinion, it is only my opinion, make up your own mind, go for it, you might as well like it.

Rather accessible when you see the quality and presentation of the plates worthy of certain high-end restaurants. You can feel the chef's passion in his dishes. We had a good time. The little digestive offered is always a pleasure. The owner has only taken over since July 2024, he is doing very well. With time it will get even better I'm sure.
