While I appreciated the Morris family and their roots in the San Francisco commun... read more I am extremely impressed with the new owners of Morris Marina & Ferry Service. While I appreciated the Morris family and their roots in the San Francisco community, they made no updates during their time. The Davis family, who already owned the service to Cape Lookout, has now taken over the Portsmouth service. They have made significant improvements, including painting the ferry, constructing a new landing on the opposite side, pouring concrete pads, and setting up a new office structure. It’s very impressive! I had a conversation with Captain Randy, and there are many more plans in the works. However, I did notice that prices have increased by 30%. On the bright side, they now offer ice, bait, and other supplies for Portsmouth when needed, as well as a fresh water station and air for inflating.
