This is a great little deli in Newark. The sandwiches are large and inexpensive. We only ate half for lunch and saved the rest for later. I wish we had places like this in Minnesota. View all feedback.
What B doesn't like about CAFE AIRLIE:
Great tasting sandwiches, however the wait is awful. Expect to be here 15 minutes or more if you don't order ahead of time. Cashier completely forgets to process orders and gets distracted most of the time. View all feedback.
Great place owner is pretty cool . I had a reuben and a Italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was my favorite more than the reuben very fresh. Parking is very hard to find I would recommend calling in advance and placing an order. For two Reuben’s and a Italian sandwich came to $39. I would definitely say give it a try!
Gets busy at lunch but workers are super nice and fast. Try out the #1 on hero. My go to, you might not be able to finish it though since the portion sizes are generous! Highly recommend if you’re looking for sandwiches salads and soup!

This sun-shined Street, is seconds off of Broad street Newark. Cafe Airlie is like walking into Cheers (The 80’s TV show where everyone knows your name). The owner/ manager is the friendliest person. Calling everyone that walk in by name. I soon felt like I was eating breakfast in my living and talking with my family. Everyone one that came in seems to interact. It really felt like home. The breakfast platter was yummy. Yesterday I had a chopped salad. Checkout their menu. I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Shop local. Eat with friends or family. This cafe was clean and had spacious seating. The staff was friendly. Come on in.
